Buy IPA online: from classic styles to the juiciest IPAs
The IPA (India Pale Ale) is one of the defining styles of craft beer. Hops shape much of its bitterness, aroma and flavour. But IPAs have evolved considerably: today they range from dry, resinous beers with pine and citrus notes to hazy, silky and intensely fruity brews.
At MASCRAFT, we bring together a wide selection of IPA, Hazy IPA and NEIPA, as well as their stronger variations, from Spanish and international craft breweries. Explore everything from classic releases to the latest beers from hop-focused breweries.
IPA, Hazy IPA and NEIPA: what is the difference?
Although they belong to the same family, IPAs can differ greatly in bitterness, haze, body and aromatic intensity.
American-inspired IPAs, especially West Coast IPAs, which have their own collection, tend to have a dry finish, more pronounced bitterness and citrus, herbal or resinous aromas. Hops take centre stage, while malt usually plays a supporting role.
Hazy IPAs are known for their cloudy appearance, fruit-forward aroma and softer, silkier mouthfeel. Mango, pineapple, peach, passion fruit and citrus notes are common, usually with more restrained perceived bitterness.
Meanwhile, NEIPAs (New England IPAs) originated in the northeastern United States and popularised that hazy, juicy, intensely aromatic profile. Oats, wheat, selected yeasts and dry-hopping techniques all contribute to their texture and distinctive sensory character.
Are Hazy IPA and NEIPA the same thing? In practice, the differences are now slight, and the terms are often used interchangeably. Each brewery can interpret the style in its own way, and the boundaries between these names are increasingly blurred.
What matters is the beer itself: hops can express themselves in very different ways, from dry and bitter profiles to bursts of tropical aroma.
DIPA, TIPA, QIPA and other styles
The IPA world reaches far beyond classic versions. DIPA (Double IPA), TIPA (Triple IPA) and QIPA (Quadruple IPA) take the intensity further, usually with higher ABV and more concentrated hop character.
Although their names suggest ever stronger beers, that does not necessarily mean more bitterness. A Hazy DIPA can taste much softer and fruitier than a lower-ABV West Coast IPA.
There are other interpretations too, including Session IPA, New England DIPA (NEDIPA), New Zealand IPA, Milkshake IPA and DDH beers (Double Dry Hopped), brewed with hopping techniques designed to bring out more aroma.
To make browsing easier, you can use MASCRAFT's style filter to show only IPA, Hazy IPA, NEIPA, DIPA, TIPA or QIPA, depending on what is available at the time.
You can narrow your selection further by hop variety, ABV, brewery, country of origin or price. That way, you can explore the whole IPA family and still find exactly what you are looking for.
Which IPA should you choose?
If you like pronounced bitterness, pine, resin and citrus notes, and a clean, dry finish, classic American-style IPAs and West Coast IPAs are a good choice.
If you prefer intense tropical-fruit aromas, a rounder texture and gentler bitterness, Hazy IPAs and NEIPAs will probably suit you better.
And if you want higher ABV, greater intensity and more concentrated aroma, Double IPAs, Triple IPAs and Quadruple IPAs offer especially powerful beers.
Hop varieties are worth exploring too. Citra, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka, Nectaron and Galaxy can bring very different profiles, from grapefruit and tropical fruit to white grape, peach or herbal notes.
Two IPAs with the same ABV and style can offer completely different experiences depending on their recipe and hops.
Buy fresh IPA: cold storage and fast shipping
Freshness matters especially for beers with a strong hop aroma. Time, temperature and exposure to oxygen can change their aromas and diminish much of what makes them special.
This is particularly important for Hazy IPA, NEIPA, DIPA and other heavily hopped beers, where fresh fruit and hop aromas take centre stage.
At MASCRAFT, we keep all our beers in cold storage at 5-7 °C, upright and protected from light until each order is prepared.
Our selection of Spanish and international breweries changes regularly, with new releases and imported beers for anyone keen to discover something different.
We also offer express shipping, with estimated delivery in 24-48 working hours within mainland Spain, as well as international shipping to Europe.
Whether you want to buy a craft IPA, discover a new Hazy IPA, find a NEIPA from your favourite brewery or try an especially hop-forward DIPA, you can explore our selection here and choose the beer you fancy most.
Frequently asked questions about IPA beer
What is the difference between an IPA and a NEIPA?
A NEIPA is a type of IPA usually characterised by haze, a soft texture and intense fruit aromas. Compared with drier, more bitter classic IPAs, it generally has more moderate perceived bitterness and a juicier character.
Are Hazy IPA and NEIPA the same?
In today's craft beer scene, the terms are often used for very similar styles. Although some breweries draw their own distinctions, they share many defining traits: haze, aromatic intensity, a silky texture and a strong hop presence.
What do DIPA, TIPA and QIPA mean?
DIPA means Double IPA, TIPA means Triple IPA and QIPA means Quadruple IPA. These names generally refer to beers with higher ABV and greater intensity, although bitterness and aroma can vary considerably from one recipe to another.
How can I find a particular IPA style at MASCRAFT?
Use the collection filters to select the style you prefer, from IPA and NEIPA to DIPA, TIPA or QIPA. You can also combine hop, ABV, brewery and price filters to find beers that suit your tastes.
