The Ferryman's favourite fruit, according to tradition, is cherries. From that idea comes an Imperial Stout with a marked sour-cherry twist, a beer designed to accompany long crossings, rich and deep.
Inspired by The Kernel's Export Stout Sour Cherry, this interpretation starts from the Ferryman base and is completed with the addition of sour cherry puree. The result is an intense, enveloping beer, where the cherry acidity balances the malt load and clearly recalls a Black Forest cake in liquid form.
