Peacharine hop is a New Zealand variety characterized by its intense fruity profile, dominated by peach and nectarine, with soft notes of tropical fruits such as mango and a light herbal background. Its aroma is sweet and juicy, with stone fruit nuances and a resinous and earthy touch.
It has a medium-high alpha acid content (12-15%), allowing it to provide balanced bitterness. The essential oils, mainly myrcene and humulene, provide its distinctive character. Total oil proportion is usually 2-3 mL/100g, ideal for late additions or dry hopping.
