Loral is an American hop with a balanced profile between floral, citrus and herbal. It has a medium alpha acid level (11-13%) and can be used both for aroma and bitterness.
It brings notes of flowers, lemon, fresh grass and a slightly spicy background. It is not a fruity or aggressive hop, but elegant and moderate.
Developed by Hop Breeding Company and released to the market in 2016, its name comes from the combination of "lemon" and "floral", two characteristics that summarize its sensory profile well.
It works well in soft IPAs, Belgian Pale Ales or hoppy lagers. In dry hopping it offers good performance without saturating the beer.
