Azacca hop is distinguished by its rich aromatic palette, including intense notes of tropical fruits such as mango and papaya, along with touches of citrus and pine. It also presents nuances of red apple and pear, adding an extra layer of complexity to its profile. These aromatic characteristics come from its rich terpene composition, such as myrcene, which provides the fruity notes, and pinene, which contributes the pine touches.
Developed by the American Dwarf Hop Association and released in 2013, it takes its name from the Haitian god of agriculture.
