Bissell Brothers Brewing Company, based in Portland, Maine, United States, was founded in 2013 by brothers Peter and Noah Bissell. Specializing in New England IPAs, its flagship beer The Substance marked a turning point in the East Coast craft scene: hazy, aromatic and loaded with hops from the Pacific Northwest. Since its beginnings, the brewery has maintained a coherent identity based on using the best fresh hops and rigorous control of canned production.
They do not work in volume, they do not have mass distribution, and each reference responds to a logic of profile and seasonality. Bissell Brothers is a cult brand, with high rotation, technically demanding and aimed at an audience seeking aromatic intensity and balance.
