Other Half Brewing, founded in 2014 in Brooklyn, New York, is one of the most influential breweries of the modern era, revered for having perfected and popularized the Hazy IPA (or NEIPA) style globally. What began as a small operation in an industrial garage in Gowanus quickly transformed into a cult phenomenon, famous for the long lines fans formed before dawn to get their cans.

Among its most legendary creations are All Citra Everything, Green City and Broccoli, which use advanced hopping techniques (such as DDH or HDHC) to saturate the beer with flavour. It was created by Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman. Its mission was simple but ambitious: to represent the "other half" of the industry, those brewers who challenge the status quo of big corporations and "old and stagnant" craft breweries. Other Half not only uses absurd amounts of hops (sometimes more than 11 pounds per barrel), but patented its own term: HDHC (High Density Hop Charge). This technique combines three hop formats: traditional T-90 pellets, Cryo Hops (concentrated lupulin powder) and Incognito (a liquid hop extract free of plant matter). The goal is to saturate the beer with essential oils and flavour without the vegetal astringency or "hop burn" that would occur from using only pellets in those quantities.
