In its first years it operated as a nomadic brewery, developing its own recipes and brewing them at other producers' facilities. The name comes from skate culture: according to Pereira, his group used “engorile” for something that lifts your spirits, motivates you or generates enthusiasm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom its earliest beers, Engorile has maintained a clear hop focus. APA BCN, an American Pale Ale, was its first recipe, followed by J.Hops, a New England IPA originally brewed with Mosaic and Calypso. Over time, the range has expanded into Double and Triple IPA, sours, stouts and other styles.
